When we have guests meals are better and the house is cleaner. I am sure it happens everywhere, so I like when people come over. Recently, Brad (not his real name, just joking) came for lunch on Sunday. Brad is from the US and had been to Spain for studying, so he speaks Spanish too.

Brad was interested in speaking Spanish and seen the grapes I grow. During the summer in Spain he worked picking grapes and doing other farming work. It was nice to speak Spanish and some English too. For a change, the meal was not colombian food. My kids say that whenever we have guests we have colombian style kidney beans. However, this time it was a new dish for me too. The dish my wife made was moussaka, an eggplant and potatoes baked dish with ground meat. It was very good.

Brad also went to where I pack the grapes and said he had never seen such big berry table grapes. Shine muscat, the grapes I grow, are japanese green seedless table grapes only grown in Japan, as far as I know.

数日前一人で晩ごはんを作って食べました。収穫日ではなかったから、じっくり出来ました。料理は超簡単でした。

食べてから、周りは静かでしたを気が付きましたが実は虫がとてもきれいに鳴いていました。外に出た時には僕は感じたのはすべての鳴く虫が空の上までに同じ歌を歌っていました。

小学校4年生の息子は二学期から新しい学校でした。息子は学校が始まる前に一日一緒にでした。午前中は畑で収穫作業と作業場で選果がありました。息子がラジオでNHKの「夏科休みこども科学電話粗段」の番組を聞いたり、外で遊んだり手伝ったりしました。午後は畑の前の孫さんと遊びました。息子は一番好きな事は箱詰めでした。

Close to one of the my greenhouses a carpenter is growing vegetables and also has some grape vines. He gradually replaced wine grapes vines with table grape vines, the same variety I grow, Shine muscat. In four years, we have become friends. He sometimes helps me when I am busy. I give him advice and tips for growing table grapes. Lately he is working less as a carpenter and doing more gardening and working part-time for me. This year his table grapes were much better than the year before. I got a bunch of his wine grapes and had it for breakfast.

そろそろ雨よけの畑の収穫が始まります、昨年も加温栽培、無加温栽培と雨よけ栽培の畑の収穫が重ねた。

ぶどうより料理のブログになりましたが、金曜日の晩ごはんはこちら。なんとか豚肉と生キュリーです、美味しかったです。お弁当もになります。

台風の後島根県の天気は雨と曇り日が多いです。今は畑二枚を収穫しています、その中半分はまだ残ってます。しばらく収穫は遅れます。その間に枝管理と他の作業をすれつもりです。他の畑、まだ収穫をしていませんは収穫の予定は8月下旬と9月上旬です。まだまだ多いです。

さて、今日の晩ごはんは「コロンビア料理近い物」でした。豆　(kidney beans)　牛肉、玉ねぎ、白ごはん。自分で美味しかったですと思います。ビールなし、残念でした。玉ねぎ、キュリー、アスパラ等は畑のちかくの直場所でかいました。色んなぶどうもありました。皿の下にある物はコロンビアのお土産です。ボゴタ市で会った友達のプレゼントです。全部を食べました。

一年間の果樹の力と農業です。今年も素晴らしい人と収穫作業をしています、ありがとう。

お盆まではスタートです、天気によって早くなる、遅くなる、これから色々があると思います。

Recently I knew about overnight oats, these are uncooked oats. In the fridge, the oats are soaked in milk or yogurt with your choice of fruit, nuts, honey, syrup and what ever you want.  The possibilities are endless. In summer they are cool and tasty, and fixing a breakfast is a snap. There are lots of recepies in the internet too.

I had chill overnight oats with milk, banana and delaware grapes, just loved them.

5アルの雨よけ畑で袋掛けをしました。収穫の予定は9月上旬です。 初めて青色の袋を掛けました。この袋は日焼けに良いし収穫まで大丈夫と思います、それから緑色のぶどうに良いです。去年は収穫作業は重ねてしまいました、大変でした。

At the beginning of summer vacation we moved to a different city, closer to the vineyards. However, I am the only one staying here. My wife and the kids are staying with the grandparents.

Most of the things are here, but they are still in boxes. Kitchen stuff is in the previous place, so it is like a limbo. It also takes a while to get used to it and work properly. The second day here was more productive and I managed to make dinner and do the laundry. Leftovers will make a decent lunch. Even though the vineyards are is not far, I am not coming back home at noon for lunch, just eat in the car and maybe take a nap.
